German days finishes with Cologne university presentation in Baku

A meeting with an expert from the University of Cologne, the last event of the German Culture Days in Azerbaijan, was held at the Kapellhaus Germany-Azerbaijan Cultural Society on November 14.

The event, supported by the German Academic Exchange Service DAAD, was dedicated to education opportunities in Germany.

A new program was presented at the event. Cologne University representative of the international relations department Floris Knoll gave extensive information about the new program and the changes to students' admission to the university.

Thus, every Azerbaijani school graduate might now be accepted to the Cologne University. The admission is held in two steps. After getting high scores on the entrance examinations, students will have test lessons for one semester at the university.

The university representative also spoke about new projects by the DAAD and answered the questions.

The University of Cologne, one of the oldest universities in Europe, with 38,000 students and 4,000 postgraduates, is one of the largest universities in Germany.

The concert "Musical Journey", organized by the German language learning center SLZ opened the Days at Kapellhaus on November 11.

Opening the concert, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Heidrun Tempel highly appreciated the interest students of the Center show to German language.

The Days were also featured with the screening of "Liebe Mauer" film, a hit parade of PASCH schools both held at the cultural center.
