European Film Festival 2016 to be held in Baku

The 7th European Film Festival will start in Baku on November 3, Azertac reported.

Given the growing number of countries-participants and spectators, the festival will last for 10 days.

The event, organized by the EU Delegation draws upon the diverse and rich cultures of Europe.

Guests of the festival will have a chance to enjoy the films in various genres, directed by famous directors from Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden and UK.

The European Film Festival has been organized since 2010 and serves to further building and strengthening the cultural links between the countries of the European Union and Azerbaijan, contributing to a better mutual understanding.

In 2015, the programme of festival included the screening of films from 16 European Union countries, including Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia, Romania, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom and Azerbaijan.
