Since 1999, ADB has invested $5.5 billion in the country through 145 loans, grants, and technical-assistance projects, helping to modernize transport infrastructure, expand energy capacity, improve water and sanitation services, strengthen finance and education sectors, and enhance healthcare. Central to this cooperation is the ADB’s Country Partnership Strategy (CPS), which guides the Bank’s collaboration with Azerbaijan over multi-year periods.
