National Culinary Association successful at BESTCookFESTJunior–2016

The national culinary team has successfully participated in the BESTCookFESTJunior–2016 in Ukraine on June 17, Trend Life reported.

The international competition for juniors was held in Chernivtsi, Ukraine on June 1-3.

"The championship was attended by chefs from six countries, including Azerbaijan, Poland, Turkey, Israel, Serbia and Ukraine. Our country was represented by the members of National Culinary Association- Nijat Babayev, Elmeddin Mursaliyev, technologist of the National culinary center Azada Musabeyli (team captain),” the executive director of National Culinary Association, Jeyran Askarova said on June 17.

The competition was attended by young cooks under the age of 25 years. The cooking championship was new for Nijat Babayev and Elmeddin Mursaliyev.

Nijat Babayev won one silver and two bronze medals in the contest, while the Azerbaijani team gained the gold medal in the category of "Black box".

BESTCookFESTJunior–2016 is international Championship of culinary and pastry art among juniors, organized by “Ukrainian Culinary Union”, Kyiv National Trade and Economics University, “Bukovinian Culinary Guild”.

The purpose of the Public association "Ukrainian culinary union» is to consolidate and intensify the efforts of practitioners and educators in the development of culinary arts and restaurant service, professional competence, implementation world standards of the culinary arts, integrating into the global professional space and innovative experience exchange.

The grand event opens its doors to young professionals in culinary and pastry art, who are not known neither to a wide audience of talented chefs from all over Ukraine, nor to the famous meters of culinary and pastry art.
