Heydar Aliyev Center hosted a presentation of AzerGold CJSC’s bars and coins made of gold and silver mined in Azerbaijan on February 2, the company said.
Chairman of the board of AzerGold Zakir Ibrahimov made a speech at the event. During his speech, he noted that the foundation for the comprehensive development of Azerbaijan was laid after the return to power of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Further, Ibrahimov stressed that thanks to the support provided to the development of local business by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, modern, high-quality services and products of the country embracing various business segments enjoy success in world markets.
In this regard, the head of the company emphasized that the coins and bars manufactured by AzerGold CJSC will make a significant contribution to the strengthening and development of the Made in Azerbaijan brand, as well as provide citizens with a choice of premium-quality products.
After the speech, a video was shown at the event, demonstrating the process of producing gold bars and coins.
Speaking at the presentation, Deputy Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC Oktay Mammadov provided the attendees with detailed information of the products manufactured.
It was noted that at the initial stage, the coins were made in three different designs, which reflect the Heydar Aliyev Center, the Gobustan rock paintings and the “Chelebi” Karabakh carpet pattern. In the future, it is planned to produce coins, reflecting various historical events, samples of national art, monuments of architecture and history.
“AzerGold” Closed Joint-Stock Company was established according to the Decree of the President dated February 11, 2015.
The main objective of the company is the study, research, exploration, management, as well as extraction, processing and sale of precious and non-ferrous metal ore deposits, implementation of new technologies in this field, modernization and efficient use of material and technical base, performance of other activities related to the development of the industry.
