A special fashion exhibition "From antiquity to modernity" will open in Fairmont Baku Flame Towers on May 17, at 18:00.
The fashion exhibition will be held as part of Azerbaijan Fashion Week 2018 scheduled for May 17-19, Trend Life reported.
The 7th season of Azerbaijan Fashion Week is timed to the 100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic. In this regard, AFW organizers paid much attention to the demonstration of the evolution of Azerbaijani women's outfits in the last century.
Unique dresses of Karabakh, Nakhchivan and Irevan khanates will be presented as part of the event.
Moreover, fashionistas have a chance to enjoy wonderful clothes by Azerbaijani designer Turkan Turkel dedicated to the State Historical and Architectural Reserve "Icherisheher".
The final chord of the fashion exhibition will be the presentation of the works by national designer, honored art figure Fakhriya Khalafova.
Demonstration of her dress in the colors of the State Flag of Azerbaijan will be an important moment for Azerbaijan Fashion Week 2018.
The exhibition will be open during all three days of Azerbaijan Fashion Week. The entrance to the exhibition is free from 15:00 to 18:00. At the same time, Azerbaijan Fashion Week showroom is open for all comers. Here guests can purchase the latest collections of local and foreign designers.
