Italian students to learn Azerbaijani music [PHOTO]

Azerbaijani composer’s work was included into the manual “MUSICA D`INSIEME” by Italian Professor Antonio Giacometti, Trend Life reported.

The book, published by Curci I Volonté includes the work "Passacaglia" by talented composer Kamala Alizade.

It is the first Italian didactic textbook of this kind for the youth orchestra, prepared by the professor, composer and musicologist Antonio Giacometti.

Earlier, Kamala Alizade’s work entered the tutorial of famous Italian chorus master and composer Tommaso Ziliani "CANTI POPOLARI BRESCIANI" in 2007.

Alizade composed "Passacaglia" in 2006 during an internship in Italy.

Performed by Fabbrica del Cioccolato orchestra and conducted by Giacometti, the music piece was great success in May 2008 at the Opera House named after  Luciano Pavarotti, one of the most successful tenors of all time.

Kamala Alizade’s music pieces are well known in the Netherlands, New Zealand, Italy, USA, China and Japan. Since 2006, Alizade promotes national music giving concerts abroad.

Recently, she received an invitation and participated in the famous music festival Udine Castello, where Azerbaijan was represented for the first time.

Together with her husband, Italian composer and musicologist Stefano Moscaritolo, Kamala Alizade has implemented numerous projects, including Lamborghini`s Atesh-bullfor, Sound Waves festival, which successfully took place last year in Azerbaijan's capital-Baku. A series of fascinating concerts brought together talented Azerbaijani, Israeli, Greek, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian musicians.
