The enhanced quality of life in Baku has put Azerbaijan’s capital on the Top 10 list of world cities that have achieved biggest improvements in liveability over the past five years.

The Economist calculated that a total of 140 cities were assigned a rating over 30 qualitative and quantitative factors in five broad categories such as stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure for the liveability index.

Baku has ranked the ninth on the list of cities with most improved liveability with a 1.6% movement in the rating for the last five years.

The Iranian capital become the world’s best city with most improved liveability (+5% for 5 years).

The list of the world’s 10 most liveable cities remained unchanged and includes Melbourne, Vienna, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland, Helsinki and Hamburg.

Baku, one of the most beautiful cities of Caucasus, is located "where East and West meet". Baku attracts many people from all over the world. It is the city, which is simply impossible to ignore and without discovering this “City of Winds” one would miss a lot.

Baku is absolutely stylish city with incredible synthesis of old and modern buildings, which offers its visitors to enjoy amazing feeling of an extraordinary contrast

Many associate Baku with ancient architecture, wide promenade and delicious cuisine. It will take a few days to get around its main attractions, take a walk through the narrow cobbled streets of the Old City, and sit in the teahouse on the Boulevard, watching the circling over the Caspian Sea in flocks of seagulls.

Stability is probably one of the main Azerbaijan has the image of a state with comprehensive protection of stability and security.
