Int’l tournament due in Azerbaijan

About sixty representatives from Switzerland, Sweden, U.S., Finland and Norway will participate in an international orienteering tournament in Azerbaijan on May 5-6.
"For Azerbaijan, the arrival of this group is very important as it serves as a proof of resonance, caused by the international orienteering community in those achievements and success that have been achieved over the past three years in the development of sport in our country," the organizers reports.
The first day of competition (sprint) will be held in Icherisheher – a unique old town within the city of Baku having its own infrastructure and residential communities. More than 1300 families live in Icherisheher and it is home to a number of museums, 18 hotels, and over 100 commercial and catering facilities.
The second race of the day will take place in Shabran District (Galalty).
