Azerbaijan is going to make some changes in the law “About physical education and sport” to prevent fans' violence against the athletes during mass sporting events, said Hadi Radjabli, Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy at a meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on Social Policy on February 17.

He did not give any details on the changes that would be done further.

Rauf Aliyev, a member of the committee earlier said that changes included suppression of violence during mass sporting events and ensuring public safety and order of the events.

"Once the fans threw glass bottles on the sportsmen. Then, these cases were prevented, as fans were allowed to bring only plastic bottles to the events. In addition some turnstiles were installed in sport events," Aliyev said.

Another change is related to the ticket prices.

Radjabli noted that sometimes people buy ticket before a sport event and then resell it to others. So, the changes will help prevent such negative cases.

Aliyev said that those who buy tickets at a cheap price and resell them to other people for a higher price will be fined. He also underlined that regulation of all issues related to the ticket sale are studied as part of the law.

These rules will be applied during international competitions to be held in Azerbaijan. One of the measures is e-ticketing.
