Winner of Beach Soccer Championship announced

Azerbaijan hosted the Beach Soccer Championship on July 30.
The event was co-organized by Association of Football
Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) and Beach Football Federation of
Azerbaijan (ACFF).
Chief Judge of the competition was representative of AFFA, Afghan
Gamzaev.
The competition brought together nine teams.
After a tense match, Fenerbahche team took the first place. It
will represent the country in Euro Beach Soccer League, to be held
during the Baku 2015 European Games.
Sport club of the Emergency Situation Ministry of Azerbaijan took
the second place, and "TT Standard Bank" team became the third.
The winners were awarded with cup, medals and money prizes,
3,000 manats, 2,000 manats and 1,000 manats respectively.
In addition to prizes, the winners were presented with a direct
ticket to participate in the Azerbaijan Cup Beach Soccer.
The best football players of the championship were named Vagif Shirinbeyov (goalkeeper), Sabir Allahguliyev (forward), Orkhan Mamedov (halfback) and Ali Huseynov (player).
Gamzayev stressed that the team of Sport club of Emergency
Situation Ministry, which was formed a short while ago achieved a
great success in the championship.
Club head, Colonel Fuzuli Musayev said that the team is focused to
be on the highest places in the championship and hopes for
successes in the international arena.
Azerbaijan's Beach Soccer Federation was founded in 2003. The federation holds competitions in beach football across Azerbaijan, under the auspices of AFFA.
AFFA established in 1992is the governing body of football in Azerbaijan.
