Baku to host 2016 Final AOB World Olympic Qualifying Event
The final AOB World Olympic Qualifying Event will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan, as the International Boxing Association (AIBA) has selected the host cities for the Olympic qualifying events for Rio 2016, and for their major competitions throughout 2015 and 2016.
Yaounde, Cameroon will host the 2016 AIBA Olympic Boxing (AOB) African Olympic Qualifying Event, and Buenos Aires do the same for the Americas. The European event will be in Istanbul, and the AOB Asian/Oceania Olympic Qualifying Event will take place in Qian'an, China, AzerTag state news agency reported.
The 2016 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships will be held in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The AIBA Executive Committee Members made the decision on all host cities in Istanbul, Turkey on July 17.
