Azerbaijan`s athelet to join One Fighting Championship

Azerbaijani fighter Bakhtiyar Abbasov will compete in the One Fighting Championship to be held in Singapore on May 30,AzerTag state news agency reported.

The event will bring together the top mixed martial artists from around the world to converge on Singapore Indoor Stadium, Kallang, for ONE FC: Honor and Glory!

Abbasov will fight in welterweight division. The 28 -year-old has over 5 years MMA experience. Bakhtiyar boasts a record of 12 wins, with the majority of bouts ending in a knockout or submission. In December, 2011, Abbasov got ProFC belt after beating Laslo Soltesh at ProFC - Grand Prix Global Finals. Then he went to win Youness Mikiss at ECSF - MMA Grand Prix of Eastern Europe 2. In 2013, Bakhtiyar won top Brazilian MMA fighter Charlse Andrade at CWFC 58 - Cage Warriors Fighting Championship 58.

The record of the young professional MMA fighter is quite impressive: he is a PROFC-GPG champion, world champion in pankration, world champion in Sambo, world champion in Combat Sambo, world champion in Jiu-jitsu, world champion in Hand-to-hand Figh, champion of World Cup in Sambo, champion of Europe in Combat Sambo, champion of Аzerbaijan in Sambo, and champion of Аzerbaijan in Judo
