Azerbaijani athlete calims world bronze
Azerbaijani weightlifter Valentin Hristov weighing in at 62kg claimed bronze medal at the World Championship in Wroclaw, Poland, Azertag state news agency reported.
The athlete showed strong form heaving 136kg, 139kg and 141kg above his head in the snatch.
In the clean and jerk, 170kg of the first effort was enough to
finish the competition third for Hristov in spite of his two other
feeble attempts of 176kg.
The athlete won the bronze also captured 4th place after snatching
141kg and jerking 170kg for a total lift of 311kg.
The world championship will last till October 28.
