Winners of day 1 of Azerbaijan Championship in Artistic, Acrobatics Gymnastics

Baku’s National Gymnastics Arena has hosted awarding ceremony of the winners of the first day of the Azerbaijan and Baku Championship among Age Categories in Men’s and Women’s Artistic Gymnastics, as well as Azerbaijan Championship in Acrobatics Gymnastics.

Murad Akbarov-Seymur Jafarov became champions in men’s acrobatics gymnastics championships, while Raziya Seyidli-Laman Mammadova-Emiliya Nazarli became champions in women’s acrobatics gymnastics championships, Abdulla Al-Meshaykhi and Rukhidil Gurbanova showed the best result among the mixed pairs, Nurjan Gurbanli-Agasif Rahimov took the second place.

Huseyn Khalilov won gold in the all-round competition in men’s artistic gymnastics among athletes of 2009-2010, David Mammadov took the second place, and Rasul Azer Ajalov took the third place. Shamkhal Akhmadov became the winner in the age category of 2006-2007, and Adil Pashayev won a silver medal. Rizvan Taghizade became the champion among the athletes of 2007-2008, Chingiz Valiyev took the second place, and Ali Khalilov won a bronze medal.

Maryam Musayeva took the first place in the women’s artistic gymnastics in the age category of 2008-2009. Deniz Aliyeva took the second place, Kristina Osekina won a bronze medal. Nazyanin Teymurova showed the best result in the age category of 2007-2008. Duygu Majidzade took the second place, Fatima Huseynli took the third place. Finally, Valeriya Shulyayeva won a gold medal in the age category of 2004-2006, Milana Minakovskaya took the second place, and Nuray Nurmammadli took the third place.

In total, more than 150 athletes are competing for the title of champion within the two-day competitions. They represent Baku Gymnastics School, “Ojaq Sport” Club, Republican Olympic Spots Lyceum, and Sumgait city.

On the second day of the competition, the audience will see performances by male gymnasts in age categories: children (12-13 years old), pre-juniors (13-15 years old), juniors (15-17 years old) and adults (18 years old and older) and female gymnasts (7-8 years old).
