The top wrestlers from a number of countries came together to compete in the CISM World Military Wrestling Championships in Klaipeda, Lithuania, on September 18-25.
Azerbaijani wrestler Galib Aliyev has claimed a gold medal at the 32nd World Military Championships. He secured the medal in the 61kg weight category.
Other Azerbaijani wrestlers Afgan Khashalov (57kg), Aghahuseyn Mustafayev (65kg) and Joshgun Azimov (70kg) took bronze medals of the tournament.
In women’s event, wrestler Turkan Nasirova has captured a silver medal.
She sealed the medal in the 48kg weight category.
