Azerbaijani judokas crowned European champion in team event
Young Azerbaijani judo fighters have become the European champions in the men’s team even.
Azerbaijani fighters also won seven medals, including three golds at the tournament held in Maribor, Sloveniat, Azertac reported.
The gold medals came from Karamat Huseynov (60kg), Hidayat Heydarov (73kg) and Zelim Kotsoyev (100kg).
Rashkhan Bakhishaliyev (55kg) and Murad Fatiyev (73kg) captured silver, while Gultaj Mammadaliyeva and Nazakat Azizova scooped bronze medals in the women`s 48kg and 52kg divisions respectively.
The tournament brought together 402 judo fighters from 41 countries.
