Presentation of the mini-football championship Azfar Business League was held at Baku Business Center on September 15.

The main goal of the tournament is to promote and develop mini-football in the corporate environment, and also to increase the interest in sports and physical culture among the population.

ASEP companies with the support of Azfargroup carries out the general management and conducts competitions. The direct organization of the competition is the responsibility of the ABL organizing committee.

General Director of ASEP (AZFAR SPORTS EVENTS AND PROMOTION) Andrei Sarychev stressed that the championship of format and scale ABL Cup 2017-2018 is held in Azerbaijan for the first time and will be held in professional pitches of Azfargroup Company.

ASEP professionally organizes the sports events. At a high organizational level, the company conducts corporate football tournaments. Large companies with divisions and branches are offered internal tournaments.

“ASEP company is created on base of Azafargroup, which operates mini football fields - there are 14 locations and 29 stadiums in Baku and Sumgait that meet the highest international standards of FIFA. They are equipped with the latest infrastructure - new locker rooms, showers, cafes and a recreation area. We hope that the debut tournament ABL Cup 2017/2018 will be a unique event in the sporting life of the country, will be remembered for its unique competitive and colorful atmosphere. We have very big plans - the creation of a women's and student's league, and in the near future we are starting to implement a large social project - children's football schools AZFAR,” said Sarychev.

Project manager Tarlan Mammadov, in turn, expressed hope that the ABL Cup 2017/2018 tournament will cause a loud resonance not only in corporate and sports circles, but also in the public life of the country, turning into a sporting event of the year.

"Our main motto is "Professional approach to amateur football ". This is the championship for the most active and advanced companies in Azerbaijan. Participation in the Business League will contribute to the development of corporate culture, strengthening of intracorporate ties, promotion of the company in the mass media and, accordingly, increase in brand recognition among customers and partners, popularization and further development of corporate amateur football, the improvement of sports skills among employees, formation of a positive attitude towards sport and physical culture of employees,” concluded Mammadov.

The face of the championship is the player of the Azerbaijan national team and Garabagh FC Richard Almeida.

Project Coordinator Ali Muradov gave detailed information on the registration of teams that want to participate in the mini-football tournament, and the conditions for the ABL Cup 2017/2018 tournament, cups and medals that will be awarded to future winners. He also informed about special prizes from sponsors for the best players of the championship.

A ball, which is specially made for the tournament ABL Cup 2017/2018, was demonstrated during the presentation. Also visitors were informed about the form of the players.

Under the terms of the championship, 32 teams will be divided into 8 groups, and then will be the battle for places from 1 to 16 (teams that took 1-2 places in the group) and from 17 to 32 (teams that took 3-4 places in the group). Within the framework of the project, the "Autumn Cup" (October-November, 2017) and "Spring Cup" (April-May, 2018) will be held. The Super Cup between the winners of the seasons will take place in June 2018.

A special site of the championship http://www.abl.az/az/ was created, where all information about the teams and individually about each player is presented. Moreover, the materials will indicate all the tactical and technical characteristics of teams and players, held matches, various photo and video materials, as well as interesting and useful information will be published.

The ABL organizing committee will ensure a thorough selection of the tournament participants. The best Azerbaijani companies will be represented at the championship.

In parallel, a large-scale PR campaign is carried out to enhance the attractiveness of the event, all stages of the tournament will be widely covered in the media, radio and television. The organizing committee will inform the media in advance about the upcoming event, which will allow initiating the publication about the championship before, during and after it.

Chief Doctor of Hayat Clinic Narmin Mammadova noted that highly qualified medical assistance will be provided to the participants of the championship, a professional team of doctors will be on duty during each game, ready to provide prompt assistance, subsequent treatment and rehabilitation.

Marketing director of Azfargroup Azer Huseynov and the participants of the championship - honored artist of Azerbaijan Murad Dadashov (team MGP-M Group Production) and head coach and captain of Amrahbank Elvin Guliyev noted that this tournament will lay the foundation for a new sports tradition in amateur football, a bright event in the life of the country, and the Business League will turn into a real holiday for all employees of companies.
