Azerbaijani duo wins gold medals in Minsk [PHOTO]

Azerbaijani dancers successfully performed at the 20th
Belarusian Open Wheelchair Sports Championships in Minsk.
Some 50 para- athletes from eight countries took part in the
championship, according to the National Paralympic Committee of
Azerbaijan (NPCA)
Azerbaijani duo of Vusala Karimova and Farid Mehtiyev won gold medals in the competition on Kombi - Latino Klass 2 and Kombi Fristayl Klass 2.
The prizes were presented by the head of public relations department of the National Paralympic Committee of Azerbaijan, Kamal Mammadov.
Minsk will also host an international tournament for parachute jumping for disabled people.
Azerbaijan will be represented by Vusal Kerimov, Farid Mehdiyev and Kamal Babayev at the event scheduled for September 15.
The National Paralympic Committee of Azerbaijan (NPKA) was established in 1996.
The Committee is developing 12 of the 19 Paralympic sports. By the 2020 Paralympics in Tokyo, two sports will also be added to them.
