Azerbaijani GM competing in UAE tournament
Azerbaijani grandmaster Elmar Maharramov is competing in the United Arab Emirates President`s Cup in honor of H.E. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan in Dubai.
The tournament brings together 135 players, including 10 grandmasters from 25 countries, Azertac reported.
The Swiss system tournament features 9 rounds.
After four rounds, the Azerbaijani grandmaster scored 3,5 points.
Maharramov will next face Cuban Walter Rodriguez Arencibia.
