FIG World Cup in Baku announces finalists of clubs, ribbon events

Individual clubs and ribbon qualification events at the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup wrapped up in Baku April 29.

Neviana Vladinova of Bulgaria, Aleksandra Soldatova and Arina Averina of Russia, Victoria Filanovsky of Israel, Sabina Toshkenboyeva and Anastasiya Serdyukova of Uzbekistan, Alina Gornosko of Belarus and Ana Luiza Filiorianu of Romania advanced to the clubs finals after the qualification event.

Azerbaijani gymnasts Zohra Aghamirova and Zhala Piriyeva took ninth and tenth places by scoring 15.750 and 15.700 points and will be the first and the second reserve gymnasts in the finals.

Aleksandra Soldatova, Arina Averina, Alina Gornosko, Neviana Vladinova and Boryana Kaleyn from Bulgaria, Victoria Filanovsky and Nicol Zelikman of Israel, Alena Dyachenko of Ukraine advanced to the ribbon finals after the qualification event.

Azerbaijani gymnast Zhala Piriyeva ranked 11th in the ribbon qualification event and will be the third reserve gymnast in the finals.

The second day of the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup kicked off in Baku Apr. 29. The competitions are being held at the National Gymnastics Arena. Ninety-four gymnasts from 21 countries are participating in the event.
