Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation has excellent president: Ukrainian coach

The Azerbaijan Gymnastics Federation (AGF) has an excellent president – First Vice-President of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, said Irina Deriugina, senior coach of the Ukrainian national rhythmic gymnastics team, vice president of the Ukrainian Federation of Rhythmic Gymnastics.
“Other countries can only admire what is being done in Azerbaijan to develop all kinds of gymnastics,” she told Trend.
A young Ukrainian team has come to Baku to participate in the FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup, according to Deriugina.
“Previous World Cups have been extremely successful for us,” she said, adding they hope for success in Baku as well.
Baku will host another FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup on April 28-30. Gymnasts from different countries will gather at the National Gymnastics Arena to demonstrate their mastery this time as well. Participation of 94 gymnasts from 21 countries is expected in the event.
