Azerbaijan’s Qabala FC and Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho will jointly open the Soccer Academy in Baku.

"The main goal is that the children joining the academy would be more responsible in their football hearing my name. If they become professional football players in future, it will be my success. I will help them if they have a chance of joining big clubs", Ronaldinho said during a press conference in Baku on October 20.

The summer football school, seminars, “Ronaldinho’s language-Portuguese” lessons would take a role in personal development of footballers in Azerbaijan and the joint activity would make an impetus to the development and popularization of football in the country.

The football celebrity further said he is pleased to be in Baku.

“I had heard a lot of good words about Azerbaijan. I knew that a number of Brazilian football players played in Azerbaijan,” he said.

“Actually, I arrived in Baku last night. I had dinner after returning from the airport. I loved your cuisine. I haven’t had time to walk around the city. I will closely familiarize with the city after the press conference", he added.

Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho visits Baku upon invitation of Tale Heydarov, President of "Gabala FC".

The football celebrity already walked around the Old City (Icherisheher) and met with his fans.
