At least 34 killed, 125 wounded in Ankara blast

01:13 (GMT+4) Turkey's health minister says the death toll in the Ankara bombing has risen to 34.

Health Minister Mehmet Muezzinoglu also said 125 people were wounded, 19 of them in serious condition. He said that 30 of the fatalities died at the scene, while the other four perished at hospitals, Milliyet reported.

00:34 (GMT+4) The death toll from a car bombing at a crowded transport hub in the heart of Turkey's capital Ankara has risen to at least 32, two security sources said, Reuters reported.

March 13. 23:57 (GMT+4) A senior security official told Reuters initial findings suggested the attack had been carried out by the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) or an affiliated militant group, but there was no immediate claim of responsibility.

The government blamed the PKK and Kurdish militants in Syria for the previous car bombing just a few blocks away on Feb. 17, which killed 29 people, most of them soldiers. That attack struck near Turkey's military headquarters, parliament and other key government institutions.

22:28 (GMT+4) The Ankara governor's office says the explosion in the Turkish capital has killed at least 27 people.

It said at least 75 others were wounded in the blast that occurred near Ankara's main square.

The explosion is believed to have been caused by a car bomb that went off close to bus stops.

22:07 (GMT+4) According to unofficial information, at least 15 people were killed in an explosion in the Turkish capital Ankara on Sunday, CNN Turk reported.

21:37 (GMT+4) An explosion hit Ankara's central Kizilay neighborhood on Sunday evening, Anadolu reported.

According to initial reports, several casualties are feared and some vehicles have also been reportedly damaged in the incident.

After the blast, several fire-fighting trucks and ambulances were seen rushing towards the scene.

Security forces evacuated the area in case there is a second blast.

21:13 (GMT+4) An explosion occurs in a park in the center of the Turkish capital of Ankara, Milliyet newspaper reported.

As a result of explosion several people have been injured.
