KazMunaiGas EP keeps oil production level in 2015
Kazakhstan’s KazMunaiGas Exploration Production (“KMG EP”) produced 12.35 million tons of crude oil, including the Company’s stakes in Kazgermunai (KGM), CCEL (Karazhanbasmunai) and PetroKazakhstan Inc. (PKI) in 2015, the company reported on January 27.
KMG EP produced 12.33 million tons of crude oil in 2014.
Ozenmunaigas JSC (OMG) produced 5.51 million tons (111,000 bpd) in 2015 or 3 percent more than in 2014. Embamunaigas JSC (EMG) produced 2.82 million tons (57,000 bpd), same as in 2014. The total volume of oil produced at OMG and EMG is 8.33 million tons (168,000 bpd), increasing by two percent in 2014.
The Company’s share in production from CCEL, KGM and PKI for 2015 amounted to 4.02 million tons of crude oil (83,000 bpd) decreasing by four percent year on year.
In 2015, OMG and EMG sold 8.31 million tons (165,000 bpd) of crude oil and oil products; this includes 4.65 million tons (92,000 bpd) of crude oil for export, and 2.74 million tons (54,000 bpd) of crude oil and oil products for the domestic market. Some 916,000 tons (18,000 bpd) of crude oil were sold to Russia.
Some 2.42 million tons (48,000 bpd) of crude oil were supplied to the Atyrau Refinery and 260,000 tons (5,200 bpd) of crude oil were supplied to the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant. Additionally, 62,000 tons (1,200 bpd) of oil products were sold to the domestic market.
The Company’s share in crude oil sales from CCEL, KGM, and PKI was 3.94 million tons (80,000 bpd). Crude oil sales to the domestic market were 2.17 million tons (45,000 bpd), of which 1.47 million tons (31,000 bpd) were supplied to the Pavlodar Petrochemical Plant, 506,000 tons (11,000 bpd) to the Shymkent Refinery, 53,000 tons (1,000 bpd) to the Atyrau Refinery, and 138,000 tons (2,500 bpd) to the Aktau Bitumen Plant. Some 70,000 tons of crude oil (1,300 bpd) were sold to Russia.
KMG EP is among the top three Kazakh oil producers.
