UN expects Uzbekistan’s GDP growth at 7percent
The United Nations forecasts Uzbekistan’s real GDP growth at seven percent in 2016, its report "World Economic Situation and Prospects 2016" said.
UN experts say Uzbekistan's GDP growth was eight percent in 2015, adding that its economy will grow by 6.9 percent in 2017.
Inflation increased by 11 percent in Uzbekistan in 2015, according to the report.
The inflation is expected to reach 9.9 percent in Uzbekistan in 2016 and eight percent in 2017.
The Uzbek government announced that country’s economy increased by eight percent in 2015 compared to 2014.
The Uzbek government plans to ensure GDP growth at 7.8 percent in 2016.
The report entitled "World Economic Situation and Prospects" is prepared at the beginning of each year by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and five regional commissions of the organization.
