Co-op deal with Russia enters into force in Uzbekistan
The Uzbek-Russian intergovernmental agreement on the main directions of development and deepening economic cooperation for 2015-2019 entered into force in Uzbekistan, the press service of the Uzbek foreign ministry said.
The agreement was signed in Tashkent in December 2014 during the visit of the president of Russia, according to the press service.
The document provides for the expansion and strengthening of trade-economic, investment, transport and communication, as well as financial cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia in terms of current conditions and trends in the world economy.
Uzbek President Islam Karimov approved the agreement in late
February 2015.
To date, the government, the relevant ministries and departments of
the republic have implemented all the necessary procedures for the
entry into force of this agreement.
