Iran ready to export more food to Russia
Iran’s Agricultural Minister Mahmoud Hojjati said preparations
have been made for exporting dairy products and other food stuff to
Russia.
"The ministry will help private companies to increase their exports
to Moscow," he said, IRNA News Agency reported.
He made the remarks at a meeting with Iranian Ambassador to Moscow
Mehdi Sanai in Moscow. Sanai, for his part, said that the two
countries have great potential to increase their bilateral
trades.
Russia has issued licenses for 18 Iranian companies to export
fisheries to Moscow.
Head of Iran Fisheries Organization Hasan Salehi said on December 8
that Iran will send the first consignment of fisheries to Russia in
the next 20 days. "The consignment is consisted of trout and
shrimp," he said.
