Final decision on deployment of a NATO training center in Georgia can be adopted in February, 2015, said Mikhail Ukleba, Georgian Ambassador to Ukraine.

"I think, the final decision will be made in February," he noted.

The diplomat added that both the member-states of NATO and aspirant countries will be trained at the center.

Ukleba said Georgia should be a competent NATO member to have a full base in its territory. "We are doing our best, but it is not enough for NATO to accept us as a member."

The opening of a training center in Georgia's territory is based on the new NATO-Georgia cooperation package, adopted in Wales this September .

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has earlier said the alliance decided to create a training center and it would be created. He also mentioned that Georgia will be a NATO member as soon as it fulfills all criteria of the alliance.
