Over 20M tons of goods transited via Iran’s rail network
Over 20 million metric tons of goods were transited via Iran's
rail network in the first seven months of the current year.
The figure shows a 5.2 percent rise compared to the same period in
the previous year, Iran's Fars news agency reported on October
26.
The current Iranian calendar year began on March 21.

Atrchian said on August 5 that 24 border terminals will be expanded
and modernized.
Transit operations and procedures will be streamlined in the
current year, he added.
To this end, 1 trillion rials (about $32 million) will be expended,
he noted.
Over 12 million metric tons of goods were transited via Iran in the
past Iranian calendar year, a 4 percent rise year on year.
