Turkmenistan, Turkey consider to diversify business ties

Turkmenistan, Turkey exchanged views on the prospects for
diversification of business partnership as Turkmen President
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the head of the Turkish Union of
Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Rifat Hisarcıklıoglu, Turkmen
media reported.
During the meeting, Hisarcıklıoglu said that the high prospects of
the Turkmen market are stipulated by its versatile potential, as
well as favorable investment climate created in the country.
The parties stressed that the practice of holding regular business
forums and sectoral fairs also contribute to the expansion of
effective cooperation between Turkmenistan and Turkey.
They also noted that the mentioned fairs present good opportunities
for searching relevant areas of partnership, as well as developing
contacts between business organizations of the two countries.
Turkey is one of the largest trade-economic partners of
Turkmenistan. More than 600 Turkish companies are working on the
local market. They are actively involved in the construction
industry.
Earlier it was reported that as of 2013, the foreign trade turnover
of Turkmenistan and Turkey amounted to about $4.746 billion or by
38 percent more than in 2012.
