Kyrgyzstan, Turkey sign documents in defense sphere
Kyrgyzstan's Defense Minister Abibilla Kudaiberdiev met with the Turkish National Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz on September 24 in Dushanbe, the general staff of the Kyrgyz armed forces reported.
During the meeting, Kudaiberdiev expressed hope that Yilmaz's visit will be fruitful for addressing important issues of bilateral military cooperation.
He also noted that there are good preconditions for cooperation between the countries.
Kudaiberdiev thanked Turkey for the country's assistance in improving the material and technical equipping parts and units of the Kyrgyz armed forces.
Following the meeting a number of documents were signed, including an agreement between the governments of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey on the training and cooperation in military medicine; an agreement between the two countries' government on military financial cooperation; a protocol between the governments of two countries on financial assistance.
