Kyrgyzstan, Israel to activate economic ties

The current state and perspectives for Kyrgyz-Israeli cooperation was discussed during the meeting of Kyrgyz Vice Prime Minister Valery Dil with the head of Israeli Foreign Ministry's "Eurasia-2" department, Odedu Joseph.

Dil stressed the dynamic of the development of relations between the two countries and expressed Kyrgyzstan's interest to activate economic cooperation and to attract Israeli investments in country's economy, Kabar news agency reported.

He also stressed that Israel's power system, which is the most modern and automated, is of particular interest.

"Given the great experience of Israel, we have opportunities to expand mutually beneficial cooperation," Dil said.

Joseph, for his part, said that agriculture is the sphere, where Israel sees greater cooperation between the countries.

"There are Israeli companies that are willing to do the processing, as well as the rehabilitation of irrigation systems and the development of drip irrigation," he said.

Moreover, a group of Israeli ophthalmologists will visit Kyrgyzstan soon, which will hold several dozens of operations in Bishkek and Osh, he said voicing hope that the planned opening of Israeli consulate in Kyrgyzstan will assist the development of bilateral relations.
