Georgian soldiers are leaving the Kabul-based U.S. Camp Phoenix base, which will cease to exist.

Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend on August 15 that the soldiers of the reinforced platoon of the 13th Battalion of the Georgian First Infantry Brigade held a solemn ceremony honoring the completion of the ISAF operation.

Georgian flag also was removed during the ceremony at Camp Phoenix. Platoon Sergeant, Giorgi Tabliashvili handed over the flag to Georgia's senior military representative in Afghanistan, Colonel Tatunashvili.
