Russia, Tajikistan eye issue of exporting agricultural goods

Russia and Tajikistan will discuss to increase the supply of Tajik agricultural products to Russia.
The news was announced by the Russian Trade Representation in
Tajikistan, local media reported.
The discussions will be held as part of the visit of Russian
delegation headed by member of the Federation Council of Russian
Federal Assembly, first deputy chairman of the Russian Agriculture,
Food Policy and the Environment Committee Sergei Lisowski to
Dushanbe.
The visit will take place on August 7-9.
Also, the parties will discuss the construction of a new logistics
center in Tajikistan.
Russia is the leading trade and economic partner of Tajikistan. In the first five months of 2014, the trade turnover grew by over 18 percent compared to the same period of 2013, and the scope of direct Russian investments in the Tajik economy reached $1.6 billion.
