Georgia, EU mull crisis management

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met Managing Director of the Crisis Response Department in the European External Action Service, Agostino Miozzo on May 6.
The parties discussed the issues regarding crisis response and operational coordination, the prime-minister's press service reported.
The meeting noted that EU Crisis Response and Operational Coordination Department plays the most important role in security policy as a permanent body, which provides world monitoring and information about the current situation during 24 hours.
EU crisis response system is dealing with the consequences which are cause by political or armed conflicts, technological incidents, man-made and natural disasters.
During the meeting, the sides expressed the hope that cooperation with the department will greatly support Georgia in terms of crisis management.
