World Petroleum Council due in Astana
Astana will host a specialized forum of the World Petroleum Council (WPC) entitled 'The leaders of the oil and gas industry' in 2017 in the framework of the EXPO-2017 International Exhibition.
The World Petroleum Council made the decision at the meeting, which took place in the Canadian city of Calgary on October 23.
Forum 'The leaders of the oil and gas industry' will logically fit into the topic of Astana EXPO-2017, which will focus on the development of the green economy.
Kazakhstan took a course on the development of the green economy, which assumes development of alternative energy sources, along with traditional energy sources with the impact on the environment to the level of "green".
