Kazakhs and Uzbek leaders to discuss security issues in Central Asia
Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev will discuss security issues in Central Asia with his Uzbek counterpart Islam Karimov during his official visit to Uzbekistan on June 13-14, the Office of Central Communications under the President of Kazakhstan said.
"During the negotiations, it is expected to discuss the implementation of previous agreements at the highest level as well as the state and prospects of political, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The heads of state will discuss the status and security issues in Central Asia," the statement said.
According to the statement, it is also planned to sign a number of important bilateral and intergovernmental agreements.
During the visit, Nursultan Nazarbayev will take part in the opening of the new building of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan.
