Kazakh president seeks to promote innovation projects
The President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has put forward the initiative of the 'three sevens' with regards to the promotion of innovation projects, KyrTAG reported with the reference to the KazTag.
"I propose to set the general task and call it an initiative of the 'three sevens', which can be implemented through joint efforts throughout the year. First, it is necessary to attract at least seven scientists from around the world to Kazakhstan. Then seven Kazakh companies should be provided with high tech orders and the creation of seven innovative start-ups should be supported. I think we can do it," Nazarbayev said at a meeting of the Foreign Investors Council on May 22.
Nazarbayev urged foreign investors to assist Kazakhstan with its innovations.
"Those who introduce innovations would be prioritised and supported by the state. I urge you to help our business, education and science to regroup and aim at innovation," Nazarbayev said.
