NASA says astronauts may live on Mars
The level of radiations on planet Mars seems to be similar to
the level of radiations in the lower earth orbit, according to the
data broadcast by Curiosity.
Preliminary measurements taken by Curiosity, the first such
information gathered from the surface of a planet, supports the
theory according to which astronauts might live on Mars for a
limited period of time.
"Yes, astronauts can live on Mars" Don Hassler said, from the
Boulder research institute in Colorado. Dan Hassler is the man who
analyzes the information sent by radiation measurement tools.
The Curiosity space vehicle landed on Mars in August and, since
then, the machine started to map the planet. The first results
suggest that the level of radiations is similar to the level of
radiations the astronauts from the International Space Station have
to deal with.
