Kyrgyz President intends to continue fight against corruption

Kyrgyz President Sooronbai Jeenbekov on Thursday told a meeting of the country's Security Council that he would continue to fight decisively against corruption.

The meeting of the Security Council considered the measures to combat corruption in judicial, law enforcement and supervisory bodies, Kabar with reference to the president's press service reported.

The Kyrgyz President said that the prosecutor's office, national security agencies, courts and law enforcement agencies were those bodies that were obliged to conduct a merciless fight against corruption in the service of their duty.

Jeenbekov stressed that Kyrgyz citizens demanded the resolute fight against corruption not only to be continued, but to be strengthened many times.

"The most important force in this struggle is the political will of the head of state. I promised the people that fighting corruption is a priority in my work as a president," Jeenbekov said. "I have such a political will, and I am ready for this fight."

In conclusion, the Kyrgyz President demanded to take urgent measures to clean law enforcement, supervisory and judicial bodies from corrupt employees.
