Iran-China trade increases by 19pct

Trade turnover between Iran and China stood at $37.18 billion in 2017.
The figure indicates a rise by 19 percent compared to January-December 2016, according to the latest data released by the Chinese Customs Administration.
China's exports to Iran in the 12-month period amounted to $18.599 billion, 13.3 percent more year-on-year.
China exported $2.065 billion worth of goods to the Islamic Republic in December 2017, compared to $1.8 billion worth of exports in December 2016.
The country also imported $18.579 billion worth of goods from Iran in the 12-month period, 25.3 percent more compared to 2016.
China’s imports from Iran amounted to $1.576 billion in December 2017, while the figure stood at $1.579 billion in December 2016.
China mainly imports crude oil from Iran, which has witnessed price rise in recent months.
Trade turnover between the two countries was $51 billion in
2014, 31 percent more compared to the preceding year.
The figure stood at $34 billion in 2015, indicating a 34 percent
plunge.
In 2016, trade turnover between Iran and China stood at $31.2 billion, down 7.7 percent from 2015.
