President Aliyev congratulates newly elected Singapore president

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a congratulatory letter to newly elected President of the Republic of Singapore Halimah Yacob.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Your Excellency as you start your activities as President of the Republic of Singapore,” said President Aliyev in his letter.
“I hope that we will make joint efforts to develop friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Singapore,” he noted.
“I wish you the best of health, happiness, success in your activities for the development of friendly people of Singapore,” added the Azerbaijani president.
