Uzbek president to visit Astana

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Kazakhstan on September 9-10 at the invitation of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Uzbekistan National News Agency (UzA) reported.
Reportedly, President Mirziyoyev will take part in the first summit on science and technology of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The summit will be held under the slogan "Science, Technologies, Innovations and Modernization in the Islamic World" and will be timed to the closing of the Astana EXPO-2017 International Specialized Exhibition.
President Mirziyoyev will attend the Astana EXPO-2017 closing ceremony and hold a number of bilateral meetings with the heads of foreign delegations.
