Iran gas blast reduces three buildings to ashes, kills 5

Gas pipeline explosion on February 21 has demolished three buildings in capital Tehran, killing at least five and injuring six more people.
Hossein Abbasi, the spokesman for Tehran Emergency Center, told
Fars news agency that the explosion took place in Khalij (Gulf)
neighborhood in southwestern Tehran on Tuesday.
According to the official, a group of residents of the three
demolished buildings were left trapped under the rubble.
Just about one month ago following a disastrous incident at a
shopping center in downtown Tehran several firefighters had been
trapped and
eventually killed as the Plasco building came down after a huge
fire engulfed the top floors of the 17-story building.
