Drilling Trust of Azerbaijan's state energy company SOCAR has put a new high-output gas condensate well into operation in the Bulla Deniz offshore field, which is on the company's balance.

SOCAR said on June 16 that drilling of the well No 124 was conducted from the platform No 122 in the Bulla Deniz field.

"The well's daily debit is 1.25 million cubic meters of gas and 250 tons of condensate," the company noted.

SOCAR has been working on the Bulla Deniz field since 1975. The company has extracted over 61 billion metric tons of gas and 12 million tons of oil and gas condensate from the field.

SOCAR geologists don't exclude the possibility of increasing the gas production by several times.

Azerbaijan's energy giant SOCAR, which is keen on expanding operations in the retail oil products market abroad is involved in exploring oil and gas fields, producing, processing, and transporting oil, gas, and gas condensate, marketing petroleum and petrochemical products in the domestic and international markets, and supplying natural gas to industry and the public in Azerbaijan.

SOCAR includes Azneft (companies producing oil and gas offshore and onshore), Azerkimya (chemical industry) and Azerigas production associations.

In 2015, SOCAR optimized the structure of its oil refining facilities and established one large enterprise on the basis of two oil refineries.
