TANAP puts out SCADA to tender

TANAP Doğalgaz İletim A.Ş. puts out to tender SCADA and Stations Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) work on Trans-Anatolian pipeline (TANAP) project.

The tender includes engineering, procurement and construction of a fiber optic cable system through the pipeline corridor.

The major requirements for applicants include registering management systems with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 (or similar) and OHSAS 18001 (or similar), designing SCADA system compliant to ISO/IEC 27001, not being subject to any sanction by IFC/EIB/EBRD or EU/US/UN or Turkey and Azerbaijan, and enjoying experiences in oil and/or gas sector.

The applicants will further be asked to provide evidence of appropriate engineering, procurement and construction experiences and capabilities, quality control procedures, HSE plans and procedures, human and equipment resources and financial stability.

Applications must be sent till May 2, 2014. It is expected that the invitations will be made in the second quarter of 2014 and contract(s) will be awarded in the fourth quarter of 2014.

The TANAP project, developed by Azerbaijan's state energy company SOCAR in collaboration with Turkish Botas and the energy company TPAO, will deliver Shah Deniz gas to the Turkish-Greek border from eastern Turkey.

The initial capacity of the pipeline will be 16 billion cubic meters of gas a year. TANAP will link up with Trans-Adriatic (TAP) pipeline on the Turkish-Greek border.

TANAP shareholders plan to lay the pipeline's foundation in the second quarter of 2014, and commission it in 2018. The costs of the TANAP project are estimated at $10 billion to $11 billion.
