Oil export via BTC exceeds 232 million tons
Azerbaijan's state energy company SOCAR reported that 2, 327, 099 tons of Azerbaijani oil was exported via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) in November, 2013.
Totally 27, 267, 792 tons of oil was exported via BTC in January-November, 2013.
As of December 1, total exports via BTC since it started operation in June 2006 were 232.719.606 m tons.
Moreover, BTC pipeline exported 185,540 tons of Turkmen oil, 243,683 tons of Kazakh oil in November.
The total length of the BТС pipeline, which carries crude oil from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli oil fields in the Caspian Sea to the Turkish Mediterranean coast, is 1,768 kilometers, including the 443 kilometer section running via Azerbaijan, the 249 kilometer section via Georgia and 1,076 kilometers via Turkey.
