Azerbaijan, Costa Rica enjoy excellent political relations

Azerbaijan and Costa Rica enjoy excellent political relations, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said on October 19.
He made the remark in a meeting with Costa Rican Foreign Minister Manuel Gonzalez Sanz, who is on a visit to Baku.
President Aliyev described the Costa Rican FM's visit to Azerbaijan as a good sign of the cooperation between the two countries.
Saying that there are good opportunities for the development of ties between Azerbaijan and Costa Rica, the head of state noted that Azerbaijan is interested in expanding bilateral relations with this country.
President Aliyev also stressed the necessity of further enhancing the ties on various fields, including economy, energy, investment making, trade, culture and other fields.
Manuel Gonzalez Sanz, in turn, expressed pleasure with the fact that he is the first high-level state representative of his country to pay a visit to Azerbaijan.
He said rapid development processes, landscaping and construction work in Baku made a deep impression on him. The minister said his country is keen on developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields.
