Today, Azerbaijan restores a normal life in its village of Jojug Marjanli, which Azerbaijani army liberated from the Armenian occupation in April 2016. Residents of the village, who lived there over two decades ago, have already started their return to Jojug Marjanli, and everything is being done for their comfort. Azerbaijan’s Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ministry reported on July 21 that the state communications provider Aztelecom LLC has created cable and sewerage facilities in Jojug Marjanli.

Aztelecom created a local network infrastructure with a length of 1,200 meters in the village, and involved an automatic telephone station with the number capacity of 64 units, the report says.

The provider constructed a 10-kilometer optical line to Jojug Marjanli. Fifty houses, a school and objects of national importance are already connected to the telephone network and Internet.

Thus, the main work on the creation of telecommunications infrastructure in the village has already been finished. Given the fact that 100 houses will be additionally built in the village, the telecommunication network will be expanded in the future.

Aztelecom Director General Suat Pashayev noted that the provider is ready to promptly restore the telecommunications infrastructure in other Azerbaijani settlements, which will be liberated from occupation in the future.

The return of Jojug Marjanli was an important step in Azerbaijan’s liberation of native lands from the Armenian aggression. In late January 2017, President Ilham Aliyev ordered to restore the village. Under the order, 4 million manats were allocated for the construction of 50 private houses, a school, a mosque and other relevant infrastructure at the first stage. Moreover, President signed an order on additional measures to construct the road leading to the village and allocated 4.3 million manats from the state budget for the construction of a 9-km long highway.

This work has been finalized in Jojug Marjanli, now people return to the village, and the government moves to the second stage of its restoration, which envisages construction of 100 more houses in Jojug Marjanli.
